FAQ

  • What if I don't have an eating disorder?

All good! While eating disorders are my expertise, I also work with individuals who struggle with anxiety, identity, transitional life changes, and general stress. It is amazing how many therapeutic tools can assist a broad area of challenges.

  • What therapeutic modality do you use?

My favorite approach to therapeutic work is Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), though I recognize this approach doesn’t work for everyone so I often pull from other modalities as well. In the past, I have also utilized CBT, DBT, and feminist-based approaches.

  • Do you take insurance?

Yes! I have limited spots for insurance, I am able to take the following: United Healthcare, Cigna, Oscar Health, Oxford, and Aetna. I also take private pay, see rates below.

  • How much do sessions cost?

I charge $150 for 55-minute sessions. Please contact me directly for speaking and training rates.

  • Virtual or in-person?

Both! I am able to offer in-person or virtual sessions based on what works best for you.

  • What if I need to cancel my appointment?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I ask that you alert me at-least 24-hours in advance or you’ll be charged for the full session rate. Of course, things happen, thus expectations may be made on a case-by-case basis.
